INITIATIVE "COTTON MADE IN AFRICA"
Supporting small farmers through responsible cotton sourcing

Portwest is proud to be a partner in the Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) initiative. The CmiA verified cotton we use in our supply chain has a significantly lower environmental impact than regular cotton and supports rural communities in Africa. Cotton made in Africa is one of the largest standards for sustainable cotton from Africa and works with more than a million small-scale cotton farmers in sub-Saharan Africa. Instead of collecting donations, she pursues the principle of helping people to help themselves through trade.
