EN 795 describes requirements for anchor devices that serve as safe attachment points for fall arrest systems.

Safety Harnesses (EN 361)

An essential part of any personal protective equipment against falls: the harness distributes forces evenly over the body, protecting against serious injuries in the event of a fall.

EN 361 defines requirements for harnesses that must safely catch the user.

Fall Arrest Devices (EN 360)

These devices keep the connection to the harness under tension at all times. In the event of a fall, they lock instantly and minimize fall distance – allowing maximum mobility with maximum safety.

EN 360 defines automatic fall arrest devices that limit fall distance and reduce forces on the body.

Restraint Lanyards (EN 358)

Restraint lanyards keep the user in a stable working position – for example during construction or maintenance. They do not prevent falls but provide secure support in hazardous areas.

EN 358 specifies requirements for restraint belts and connecting devices for work positioning.
