modaflame-rain-multinormen-arc-broek-mv71
Modaflame Rain Multinorm Arc Trousers - Portwest MV71

The Portwest flame-resistant rain trousers are high-quality multi-norm work trousers specifically designed for professionals in high-risk work environments. These trousers offer reliable protection against extreme weather conditions, heat, flames, and electric arcs. Thanks to the combination of waterproof properties and flame-resistant materials, this garment is ideal for heavy industrial sectors where safety and visibility are crucial under all conditions.

For which specific work environments are these flame-resistant rain trousers suitable?

These multi-norm trousers are extremely suitable for use in ATEX environments where there is a risk of explosion due to gases or dust. The trousers meet strict standards such as EN ISO 11612 for protection against radiant, convective, and contact heat, and EN ISO 11611 Class 2 for welding operations.

The high visibility in accordance with EN ISO 20471 Class 2 also makes the trousers ideal for work along the road, on the railway, or in other situations where standing out is of vital importance.

What does the EN 343 Class 3:1 rating mean for these flame-resistant rain trousers?

The EN 343 Class 3:1 rating indicates that these trousers offer excellent waterproofness but have limited breathability. The Class 3 for waterproofness ensures that the wearer remains dry during heavy rain showers thanks to the lightweight, waterproof fabric and fully taped seams.

The Class 1 for breathability means that the trousers are less suitable for intensive physical exertion in warm conditions, but function perfectly as a reliable barrier against harsh wind and precipitation.

The trousers feature a zip-off back, adjustable straps, articulated knees, and an extendable leg length for optimal comfort and a flexible fit.

Features:

Protection against radiant, convective, and contact heat

Lightweight, waterproof fabric with taped seams prevents water penetration

Zip-off back converts bib and brace into trousers

Extendable leg length (31" to 33")

Adjustable straps with a durable buckle closure

Articulated knees allow for greater freedom of movement

Internal knee pad pockets for a neater look

D-ring for keys and ID cards

Antistatic

High-quality, sew-on, flame-resistant reflective tape

Taped seams for extra protection

FR cotton lining for extra warmth and comfort

Flame-resistant buttons and zipper

4 storage pockets

Stylish contrast colors

CE certified

CE-CAT III

Knee pad pockets for knee pads, sold separately

UKCA marked

Suitable for use in an ATEX environment

UPF 40+ fabric blocks 98% of UV rays

Material and maintenance:

Outer fabric: 98% Polyester, 2% Carbon fiber, PU coated, bonded to 60% Modacrylic, 40% Cotton (350 g/m²)

Lining: 100% Cotton Flame-Resistant Lining (170 g/m²)

Washing instructions: Max wash temp 40°C, mild process.
