thermische-basislaag-bovenlichaam-b133
Thermal Base Layer Upper Body - Portwest B133

The Portwest (B133) thermal base layer for the upper body is a functional undershirt that retains heat and wicks away moisture. It is designed for anyone working outdoors or in cold environments who needs a comfortable first layer under workwear. The 100% polyester material weighing 140 g/m² provides a lightweight fit that wears well under other clothing layers.

For what type of work is the Portwest B133 thermal base layer suitable?

The Portwest B133 is suitable for tasks where you work for extended periods in cold or fluctuating temperatures, such as in construction, logistics, agriculture, or outdoor services.

The base layer functions as the first layer of clothing in a layered system. By wicking moisture away from the skin, it keeps the body drier, which helps prevent cooling. This makes this shirt suitable for situations where you alternate between standing still and moving actively, and where sweat would otherwise quickly cause you to feel cold.

When should you choose the Portwest B133 thermal base layer instead of a standard undershirt?

You should choose the B133 when a regular cotton undershirt is not sufficient, because cotton retains moisture and can therefore cool the body during exertion in the cold.

The B133's 100% moisture-wicking polyester actively transports sweat away from the skin, keeping the skin drier and improving temperature regulation. This is particularly relevant in occupations where you regularly move between different temperatures, for example when alternating between indoor and outdoor work. A standard undershirt does not offer this moisture-regulating function.

The B133 can be washed at a maximum of 40°C on a mild cycle and must not be ironed or dry-cleaned.

Material and care:

Outer material: 100% moisture-wicking polyester (140 g/m²)

Washing instructions: Max wash temp 40°C, mild process.
