What exactly does multinorm mean?

Multinorm clothing is tested and certified to multiple European standards at once, for example flame-retardant (EN ISO 11612) combined with antistatic (EN 1149-5) or with high visibility (EN ISO 20471). This is more efficient and comfortable than wearing two separate garments on top of each other.

Commonly used standard combinations

The most requested combination is flame-retardant with antistatic, popular in industry and among welders. If you also work alongside roads, a combination with high visibility from our High visibility collection is a logical addition.

Who is multinorm clothing suitable for?

Multinorm clothing is widely worn by construction workers, workers in industry and fire-service-related professions, anywhere multiple risks occur at the same time.

Veelgestelde vragen

What's the difference between multinorm and ordinary protective clothing?

Ordinary protective clothing is tested to one specific standard, while multinorm clothing is certified to multiple standards at once, such as flame-retardant and antistatic combined.

Which combination of standards is most requested?

Flame-retardant combined with antistatic (EN ISO 11612 with EN 1149-5) is the most requested combination, especially in industry and among welders.

Is multinorm clothing heavier than ordinary workwear?

Multinorm clothing is slightly sturdier due to the extra treatments, but modern fabrics remain breathable and comfortable for a full working day.

Can multinorm clothing also include high visibility?

Yes, some multinorm garments combine flame-retardant or antistatic properties with reflective stripes. Also see our High visibility collection.
