Description

The Portwest B306 hi-vis sweatshirt is a two-colour high-visibility shirt for professionals working outdoors all day in environments with traffic or moving vehicles. It is made from a durable 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend weighing 300 g/m², providing durability and comfort. The shirt is suitable for sectors such as road construction, railway maintenance and logistics.

For what work is the Portwest B306 hi-vis sweatshirt suitable?

The Portwest B306 is suitable for outdoor work requiring maximum visibility, such as road construction, municipal outdoor maintenance, railway work and port logistics.

The shirt complies with EN ISO 20471 Class 3, the highest class for high-visibility clothing. This means it contains the greatest amount of fluorescent material and retroreflective strips, making the wearer highly visible even in poor lighting conditions. The orange version also complies with RIS 3279 TOM Issue 2, a supplementary standard specifically applicable to workers operating on or near the British railway network.

When should you choose the Portwest B306 sweatshirt instead of a hi-vis jacket or vest?

A hi-vis sweatshirt such as the B306 is the right choice when you want a lighter layer than a jacket, but more protection and warmth than a vest provides.

The 300 g/m² woven polyester-cotton blend provides substantial insulation in cool weather without restricting the freedom of movement that a heavier jacket might. The two-colour design combines fluorescent material with a contrasting colour, enhancing visibility at the workplace. This makes the shirt a practical intermediate option for seasonal transitions or milder working conditions.

The shirt can be washed at up to 40°C and withstands up to 50 washes, contributing to its lifespan during intensive daily use.
