How does antistatic clothing work?

ESD clothing contains thin conductive fibres woven into the main fabric, which dissipate static charge through the body and floor before a discharge can occur. This prevents damage to electronics and reduces the risk of igniting flammable vapours.

When is ESD clothing mandatory?
