Made for water

Wet feet are cold feet, and cold feet lead to less concentration and more blisters. The Aqua models use materials that keep water out and dry quickly again, with a sole that also holds grip on wet tiles and slippery floors.

Check the class on the label

Water-repellent (the S2 and S3 requirement) is different from fully waterproof. If you stand in water for hours, an S5 boot is the better choice. For work that alternates between wet and dry, an Aqua shoe with a membrane is usually the most comfortable.

Veelgestelde vragen

What makes an Aqua shoe different?

The Aqua line is made for wet conditions: materials that keep water out and dry quickly, combined with a sole with extra grip on wet ground. How much water the shoe actually keeps out is shown by the class on the label.

Is a waterproof membrane the same as S3?

No. S3 means the upper has been tested as water-repellent. A membrane such as a waterproof inner lining goes further and keeps water out even with prolonged exposure, and is listed separately with the designation WR or the membrane's brand name.
