Why microfiber?

Microfiber barely absorbs moisture, dries quickly and can be wiped clean with a cloth. In environments that are cleaned daily, such as food processing and kitchens, a shoe like this stays neat for longer than leather, which dries out and discolors from repeated cleaning. The material is also free of animal-derived materials.

Combine metal-free

Microfiber is often combined with a composite toe cap and a textile penetration-resistant insert, resulting in a fully metal-free shoe. That's exactly what you need at metal detection gates and in production lines with metal detection. Check the class on the label or go to S2 and S3.

Veelgestelde vragen

What is microfiber in a work shoe?

Microfiber is a synthetic material that resembles leather but has no animal origin. It's lighter than leather, absorbs little water and is easy to clean, making it suitable for the food industry and for anyone who doesn't want to wear leather.

Does microfiber last as long as leather?

With normal use it comes close, and microfiber has the advantage that it doesn't dry out or crack like poorly maintained leather. With heavy abrasive work, leather usually wears slightly slower. For wet and hygienic environments, microfiber is actually the better choice.
