The best glove is the one that stays on

With gloves, protection almost always gets in the way of feel. High-performance models solve that with finer yarns and thinner knits: the same cut level in a glove where you can still pick up a small bolt. That sounds like a luxury, but it's the reason people keep their gloves on instead of taking them off for that one quick job.

Cost per week, not per pair

These gloves cost more per pair, but last longer and are more often actually worn. So compare on cost per worked week and on the number of hand injuries, not on the unit price. For the protection level, check the letter after the EN 388 code.

Veelgestelde vragen

What are high-performance gloves?

Gloves that score high on multiple fronts: a high cut level combined with a lot of feel, good grip and all-day wearing comfort. They're made from fine yarns with fibers such as HPPE and glass or steel, so the protection doesn't come at the expense of fine motor skills.

Why do they cost more than regular work gloves?

The yarns and the knitting technique are more expensive. In exchange, they last longer and, more importantly, they stay on: a glove that's too thick or too warm comes off at the exact moment things go wrong. So calculate cost per worked week, not per pair.
