Which work trousers suit your trade?
If you kneel a lot, choose trousers with knee pockets and removable knee pads to EN 14404. If you carry a lot of tools, holster pockets that tuck away when you get in the car are a real benefit. And if you're on the move all day, you'll immediately notice the difference stretch panels in the crotch and knee area make.
The fabric determines the lifespan: 240 to 280 grams per square metre is fine for general work, while heavier canvas of 300 grams or more lasts longer on rough surfaces. Reinforcements of Cordura or Oxford on the knees and pocket edges extend that even further.
Size and leg length
Measure your waist where you'll actually wear the trousers, and your inseam from crotch to ankle. Many models are available in short, regular and long lengths. If the knee pocket isn't at the right height, the leg length is probably wrong. There are also women's models with an adapted cut.
