Description

Portwest's arc-flash resistant gloves, model A783, have been specially developed for professionals working in high-risk environments with a danger of thermal and mechanical hazards. This advanced hand protection combines high cut resistance with certified protection against arc flashes and heat. Thanks to their thermal properties, this model is extremely suitable for tasks in cold conditions where maximum safety and grip are required.

For which tasks are these arc-flash resistant gloves suitable?

These arc-flash resistant gloves are specifically designed for the electrical sector and industrial environments where workers are exposed to combined risks. The glove is ideal for mechanics and technicians working on electrical installations with a risk of an arc flash discharge.

Thanks to the warm 10-gauge acrylic liner, this model performs excellently in cold outdoor air or unheated workshops. The flame-resistant neoprene-coated palm also provides a reliable grip on tools and materials, even in damp or cold conditions.

What do the standards for this Portwest A783 work glove mean?

This model meets strict safety standards, including the ASTM F2675/F2675M-23 Level 3 standard with a value of 33 cal/cm² for excellent protection against the thermal hazards of an electrical arc flash. In addition, the glove offers Level F cut resistance according to EN 388:2016, which is the highest achievable class against cuts.

The EN 407 certification guarantees protection against contact heat up to 250 degrees Celsius for 15 seconds, while the EN 511 standard confirms protection against cold temperatures.

The seamless 13-gauge liner offers excellent dexterity of level 5. The gloves are washable at 40 degrees using a non-biological detergent.
