The Portwest PS67 non-ventilated safety goggle is an essential piece of personal protective equipment for professionals working in high-risk environments. These dust goggles are specially designed to effectively protect your eyes against flying particles, chemical substances, and harmful liquids. Thanks to the fully sealed design, this model provides a reliable barrier during industrial tasks, laboratory testing, or heavy construction projects where maximum facial sealing is required.
For which specific tasks and sectors is this non-ventilated safety goggle from Portwest suitable?
These dust goggles are ideally suited for work in metalworking, the chemical sector, laboratories, and construction. Because the frame is fully sealed and lacks ventilation openings, it offers optimal protection against liquid splashes, coarse dust particles, and gases.
Furthermore, this model is certified for protection against splashes of molten metal. This makes the goggles extremely reliable for welders and metalworkers who risk contact with hot materials and sparks during their daily tasks.
What do the EN 166 and EN 170 certifications mean for these non-ventilated safety goggles?
The EN 166 standard guarantees that these goggles meet the basic European requirements for eye protection, including resistance to impact, liquid droplets (3), coarse dust particles (4), gases (5), and molten metal (9). The K and N markings stand for certified anti-scratch and anti-fog properties.
The EN 170 standard with class 2C-1.2 confirms that the lens provides reliable UV protection. This effectively protects your eyes against harmful ultraviolet radiation, which helps prevent long-term eye damage during outdoor use.
The flexible PVC frame and the adjustable elastic headband ensure a comfortable fit. These metal-free goggles fit easily over most prescription glasses.
